I am 'Priyankee', a Yoga Lifestyle Specialist and the Founder of Priyankee Yoga.

My Yoga journey started 12 years ago when I conceived my first child which got featured in 'Good Housekeeping magazine' by 'India Today', post my delivery. That's when transition happened from practice to passion. There was no looking back thereafter.

The continued combination of disciplined self-practice and guidance of my learned teachers led me to take Yoga as a profession, and becoming a Yoga Instructor Trainer certification from Yoga Alliance - USA for various types of yoga, with specialization in Pre-Post Natal Yoga.

I have now transcended into conducting learning sessions on higher forms of Yoga viz. Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Restorative and Pre/Post Natal Yogas.

Imparting the philosophy and anatomy of Yoga to understand Yoga, has been integral to my sessions, as practice of pranayama, and meditation are critical for healing and relaxation to avoid an early burnout and create space for thought to search, innovate, and create to produce results in the accelerating challenges of the corporate world that impact our daily lives. Who else better than me knows it being a former Corporate Executive, for 2 decades with companies like Walmart India, Aviva Life Insurance, ICICI Lombard, etc., before I pursued the calling of my heart - Yoga.

Nurturing pregnant mothers to practice yoga is a mission for me based on the benefits I personally accrued doing so. The perception of Yoga being a strenuous exercise for lactating mothers is a misconception. Hence, I take it on me to provide guidance on pregnancy, lifestyle, and diet supplementing yoga asanas. Garbh-sanskar, Yoga Nidra, and Mantra chanting have become the most loved meditation techniques, and a hit amongst my students. Of course, I am selfish too – to take pride when I learn my students have delivered their babies with ease and see them get back to shape practicing the specific asanas, as advised.

Knowledge shared is education. Application of education is practice. Practice is experiment and experience. Experience is everlasting knowledge to be shared further on for posterity.  There is a daily Instagram post of my practice of various Asanas, and have over 150,000 followers - not just pressing likes, but also practicing them and providing their feedback.
