(T - 1, 2, 3) Benefits of Homemade butter during Pregnancy
Ayurveda recommends consumption of 1 tablespoon (10 grams) of homemade butter every morning with candy Sugar.
*Aloe Vera should not be eaten in any form, even any medicine containing should be completely stopped (It contains Latex, that can cause uterine contractions).
*Avoid snacks such as Bhelpuri, Pani Puri, Dahi puri etc., as they are made of refined flour, and contains large amount of uncooked salt (Salt which is added after cooking). They have no nutritive value.
Ayurved cautions that there should not be any extremes while planning the diet for the expectant mother. It is important that all the six tastes, namely sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter, and astringent, be included in the meals in the balanced proportions.
As excess of any of these can lead to below problems:
1. Sweet - Diabetic and extremely obese
2. Sour items – such as tamarind, sour Yogurt, tomatoes, fermented food etc can lead to Skin diseases, eye ailments, or nose bleeds.
3. Excess Salty foods or any extra addition to salt can result in premature greying of hair, or hair loss, and may even leas to early wrinkling of Child’s skin
4. Excess of bitter food can result in stunted growth, dryness, low weight, or weakness
5. Excess of Spicy food can weaken the baby’s strength, Shukra Dhatu, and may even cause reproductive disorders later in life.
6. Astringent food items can cause darkening of the skin, produce gas, flatulence, or induce vomiting in the baby.
