(T - 1, 2) Pre Eclampsia - High Blood Pressure during Pregnancy
Pre-Eclampsia
From the 5th month onwards, many women suffer from swelling of the feet, high blood pressure (about 150/ 90), loss of protein in the urine, and a rapid increase in weight.
These symptoms are indicative of Pre-eclampsia and, if ignored, can have a disastrous effect on the mother and the unborn baby, apart from causing difficulties during the delivery.
When these Symptoms are observed, immediate precautions must be taken to ensure that the diastolic (lower) blood pressure does not rise above 90-95 mm of Hg.
Pregnancy at an advanced stage, obesity from the outside, family history of diabetes, or improper care during pregnancy are some of the predisposing factors of pre-eclampsia.
A balanced diet from the beginning of pregnancy, combined with appropriate ayurvedic treatment, can help you prevent this condition.
