Indigestion During Pregnancy
Indigestion is common during pregnancy and may cause bloating, burping, feeling unusually full, nausea or discomfort after eating. Hormonal changes can slow digestion, and the growing baby can put additional pressure on the stomach.

What Can Help?
Eat smaller meals more frequently.
Eat slowly and chew your food well.
Avoid large meals, particularly close to bedtime.
Limit foods that trigger your symptoms.
Sit upright while eating and after meals.
Drink fluids regularly throughout the day.
Can Prenatal Yoga Help?
Gentle prenatal yoga and mindful movement can support relaxation and comfortable digestion. Avoid practising immediately after eating and choose movements that feel comfortable for your stage of pregnancy.

When Should You Speak to Your Doctor?
Speak with your doctor or midwife if indigestion is severe, persistent or affecting your ability to eat or drink comfortably. They can advise you about pregnancy-safe treatment if needed.

Listen to your body, eat mindfully and give yourself time to rest and digest. 🤍
