Morning Sickness During Pregnancy
Morning sickness is common during pregnancy and can include nausea, vomiting, or both. Despite its name, it can happen at any time of the day. It often begins in early pregnancy and improves for many women as pregnancy progresses.

What Can Help?
Eat small meals frequently rather than having large meals.
Avoid foods or smells that trigger nausea.
Keep a simple snack such as crackers or dry toast nearby, especially before getting out of bed.
Sip water regularly throughout the day.
Get plenty of rest.
Choose foods that feel comfortable and are easy for you to tolerate.
Can Prenatal Yoga Help?
Gentle prenatal yoga, breathing and relaxation practices may help you feel more comfortable and manage stress during pregnancy.

Practise when you feel well enough and avoid exercising when you are actively vomiting or feeling weak or dizzy.

When Should You Speak to Your Doctor?
Speak with your doctor or midwife if vomiting is severe, you cannot keep food or fluids down, you are losing weight, passing very little urine or feel dehydrated or unusually weak.

Severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy may require medical treatment.

Listen to your body. Some days may be easier than others, and that's okay. 🤍
