Right After Birth - Post Natal
Your Baby is in your arms and Doctor has few more checks to make, and this care that you receive right after birth is also referred to as the Fourth Stage of Labor.
Baby will be rubbed and patted dry, placed on your chest, Meanwhile, cord will be clamped and cut by the Doctor or your Partner 🙂
Your Baby’s first reaction will be to cry – it is a positive sign, as she is able to breathe successfully on her own. Sometimes, babies are given oxygen in the delivery room.
On Average, Women lose around 12 Lb (5.5 kg) immediately after Birth, it’s a combined weight of Baby, Placenta and Amniotic Fluid. However, Uterus takes time to shrink back down, so you may still appear pregnant.
